In 2017, I joined Mortarr, a search and discovery platform connecting the commercial construction and design industry, as one of the company’s first dedicated graphic designers.

What started as a scrappy startup quickly became a space to wear every hat: brand builder, art director, UX/UI designer, visual storyteller, and occasionally, resident mixologist for team culture.

I led design across nearly every touchpoint, from brand identity and marketing campaigns to product experience and platform UX. My focus was always the same: translate complex ideas into clear, usable, and beautiful systems.

In early 2022, Mortarr was acquired by Ecomedes, Inc., where I stepped into the role of Design Lead, guiding the evolution of the platform and brand at a larger scale. There, I continued shaping product experience, visual systems, and marketing initiatives across a growing sustainability technology ecosystem.

During my tenure, our team earned recognition from the Advertising Federation of Minnesota and the Telly Awards, and I was honored to be named one of AdFed MN’s 32 Under 32.

More than anything, these years shaped how I work today: embedded with teams, designing holistically, and building systems that connect brand, product, and people.
