Taylor Friehl is a multidisciplinary creative leader and strategist who brings a sharp eye for design, a deep commitment to sustainability, and a talent for translating complex ideas into powerful brand stories. As Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy across SMS Collaborative and its affiliated brands, Parallel and Verico, Taylor supports all facets of brand identity, content development, and strategic communications for a suite of companies advancing sustainable transformation in the built environment.
At Parallel, Taylor leads marketing strategy and execution and ensures client excellence through thoughtful positioning, clear messaging, and a strong visual foundation. At Verico, a third-party verification and certifying body, she shapes messaging that builds trust and drives industry alignment around credible sustainability claims. Across the SMSC organization, Taylor works to ensure excellence at every touchpoint.
Prior to joining SMSC, Taylor was Design Lead at Ecomedes and a creative force behind Mortarr, where she helped build the platform’s visual identity and was recognized as one of AdFed MN’s 32 Under 32. She also founded North Bound '93, an apparel brand celebrating her Midwestern roots and outdoor ethos.
With a background that blends design excellence, marketing strategy, and environmental advocacy, Taylor continues to craft brands and communications that not only look good—but do good.
