Taylor Friehl is a multi-disciplinary creative currently located in Minneapolis. After growing up in the midwest, Taylor relocated to Colorado where she started her own brand of laid-back outdoor clothing, North Bound ’93.
In 2017 Taylor joined Mortarr, the search and discovery platform connecting the commercial construction and design industry. She served as resident design guru, art director, and ux/ui specialist before Mortarr’s acquisition by Ecomedes, Inc. in early 2022.
For a year after the acquisition, Taylor served as Design Lead of Ecomedes, Inc. She supported the merging of the organizations, helped set the brand and product direction alongside the CMO and product owner, and assisted the marketing team through KPI-driven campaigns, digital strategy, and communication for Ecomedes, Inc., its platforms, and subscribers.
During her time at Mortarr she was part of a team that won awards from the Advertising Federation of Minnesota and Telly Awards. She was also named one of Adfed MN’s 32 Under 32.
Taylor is now Design Lead at Parallel, a team of sustainability experts focused on impact within the built environment and life science industries. Through a unique, integrated staffing model ramping up company sustainability capacity overnight, and building groundbreaking new services and standards in partnership with aligned changemakers.
In her spare time, she can be found exploring nature, mixing up new cocktail ideas, helping friends get their small businesses going, or trying to convince dog people that cats are cool(er).
